February.

Normally that time of year when we all become a little less mobile, a little less social, and a little less sane. at least, I do (though I must say this year has been particularly pleasant for me thus far - I thank drugs). Our weather lately has been a lot like my past 10+ years...bipolar. Ha! No but really though. One day it's -20*C and the next it's 10*C; my poor body is completely confused and perpetually perplexed.

...I'm also bipolar.

I never thought I would have two coming out experiences, but here we are. SURPRISE! I feel I should have a noisemaker and throw confetti and wear a festive hat...

But on to February.

Yes, the weather outside is frightful, but the ...vacation? is so delightful...that's right world, I'm on vacation. In February. In Halifax. I know it doesn't sound glamorous, but sometimes it's nice to just take a time out without having to justify it with a special event. It's amazing the number of people who have asked where I was going for my vacation, as though it was ludicrous to assume anything less. But let it be known: I'VE BEEN HAVING A FANTASTIC TIME! In the past week and a half I've managed to clean my entire apartment, mess it up again, drive around the Eastern portion of the province, learn a new craft/hobby...

...soooo, my new hobby is a bit ridiculous; I get it. But I like it! It's actually quite enjoyable, needlework.

It's statements like that that have earned me nicknames like Vulgar Granny...

My next project shall be a dainty wall hanging for myself that says "go fuck yourself" with a rainbow. Maybe I'll hang it on my door like the old ladies hang their seasonal wreaths...I'm sure my neighbors would love it. I'll keep you posted on the reactions as they come in.

I ALMOST FORGOT: I'M GOING TO RUSSIA! That's right, the Russian is taking me to her homeland (for those of you who are unfamiliar with The Russian, she is my lady friend. She's awesome. You'd like her). We opted for the summer (because really, who would choose to go to Russia in the winter [except for the Olympics maybe]?), and we're staying to two weeks in St. Petersburg (Leningrad) and Moscow. IT'S GOING TO BE GREAT! Stay tuned for more deets!
